Lounge Feminism & Gender / Remue-ménage, 2012
with Assemblage on wall by Mireille Henry
Installation-Scenographie-Library in situ; wood, paint, screws
MAM -Museo de Arte Moderna da Bahia, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil
The Lounge was a part of the project remue-ménage initiated by Charlatan and exposed at the MAM - Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia. It functioned as a sort of wonderkammer (after an idea of Sarah Glaisen) around feminist and gender issues. The installation was thougt as much as a structure to contain a documentation about and objects in relation to the subject and a support, an environnement for other work of art and as it was a work inspired by feminist thought. It was alos in resonance with the building restructured by Lina Bo Bardi. The installation was constructed in situ with local materials.
